Chatham-Kent, Ontario – On May 28, 2024, at 6:19 p.m., members of the Intelligence Unit arrested a man on Wellington Street East in Chatham who matched the description of an individual identified as the suspect in four commercial break and enter investigations.
The 27-year-old Chatham-Kent man was transported to police headquarters and was held pending a bail hearing. Following the bail hearing, he was remanded into custody until his next court appearance scheduled for June 4, 2024.
As the investigation progressed, officers were able to establish a connection between the arrested individual and several other commercial break and enter investigations. In total, he has been linked to eight separate investigations occurring from April 22, 2024, to May 27, 2024, all within the Chatham area.
The man is now facing multiple charges, including possession of a stolen credit card, theft, two counts of possession of stolen property, and eight counts of break and enter.
