Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 212 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Eleven people was arrested and eight were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested for Mischief CK24026996
On June 12, 2024, at 1:30 a.m., police responded to Coverdale Street in Chatham for a disturbance. Upon arrival officers located the man who refused to leave the area, displaying a clear intent to persist in disruptive behaviour. As a result, police arrested the man for breaching the peace.
The man was transported to police headquarters, where he was lodged into a cell. His unruly behaviour continued, leading an incident in which he urinated on the floor.
The 33-year-old Chatham Kent was arrested and charged with mischief. He was held pending a bail hearing. As a result, he was remanded into custody and transported to Southwest Regional Detention Centre until his next video court appearance on June 14, 2024.
Woman Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24027016
At 9:26 a.m., police located the woman on Westcourt Boulevard in Wallaceburg. The officer confirmed she was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court in relation to a stolen vehicle investigation.
The 30-year-old Wallaceburg woman was transported to police headquarters, where she was held pending a bail hearing. She is currently facing the following charges: failing to attend court, possession of stolen property over $5000, driving while suspended and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
Man Arrested for Impaired Driving CK24027029
At 10:19 a.m., police responded to reports of an unconscious man in a vehicle on Forest Street in Chatham.
Officer arrived on the scene and believed the man to be impaired by an intoxicating substance. Officers also learned the man had a suspended drivers license and could not produce ownership or insurance for the vehicle. The man was arrested and transported to police headquarters for tests.
The 60-year-old Chatham Kent man was released with Part III summons for the Highway Traffic Act offences.
Man Arrested for Uttering Threats CK24027040
At 11:51 a.m., police responded to a disturbance on Fourth Street in Chatham.
Officer learned the man was irate and yelling comments to cause property damage and harm others present.
The 42-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He was charged with two counts of uttering threats.
Woman Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24027051
At 12:01 p.m., police located the woman on Wellington Street East in Chatham. The woman was wanted on outstanding warrants for failing to attend court in relation to a February 2024 weapons investigation and a July 2023 break-and-enter investigation.
The 31-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she was held pending a bail hearing. She is currently facing the following charges: unlawfully in a dwelling house, possession of stolen property, possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon, careless storage of a firearm/weapon, failing to attend court and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24027068
At 1:32 p.m., police located the man on Talbot Street in Blenheim. The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court in relation to an October 2022 assault investigation and probation violations.
The 45-year-old Blenheim man was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing. He is currently facing the following charges: assault with a weapon, assaulting a police officer, failing to comply with a release order, failing to comply with a probation order and two counts of failing to attend court.
