Serious Motor Vehicle Collision CK23050307
On Sunday, September 24th, 2023, at around 3:00 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police, CK Fire and EMS responded to a motor vehicle collision on Mill Street East at Tilbury Street just outside of Tilbury.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a motorcycle containing two occupants struck a boat trailer being towed by a pickup truck which was turning onto Tilbury Street from Mill Street East. Both occupants on the motorcycle were transported to hospital. The motorcycle driver sustained minor injuries however, the 70-year-old female passenger suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at hospital. The occupants in the pickup truck were not injured.
Out of respect for the family, the name of the deceased will not be released at this time.
