Chatham-Kent, Ontario: On October 1, 2024, at 8:05 p.m., members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section with assistance from the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT), executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act Search Warrant on Victoria Avenue in Ridgetown.
Approximately $36,000 worth of cocaine, and oxycodone, were recovered and seized for analysis. Less than $1000 in Canadian currency, digital scales, cell phones and a packaging material were also seized.
The 59-year-old Ridgetown woman was arrested and charged with the following:
• Possession of a schedule I substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking – contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and,
The woman was transported to police headquarters where she was released with conditions and a future court date of November 7, 2024.
