The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 210 calls for service in the last 24 hours. 11 people were arrested, and 10 people were arrested on outstanding warrants.
Police Assisting in Death Investigation – CK23052000
On Wednesday October 4th, 2023, at approximately 7:08 a.m., emergency crews responded to the area of Pegley Crescent and Lacroix Street in Chatham in response to an unresponsive female.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene and police are now assisting the Corners Office with this death investigation.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK23052016
On Wednesday, October 4th, 2023, at approximately 8:55a.m., Chatham-Kent Police, Chatham-Kent Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to a motor vehicle collision on Bloomfield Road in the area of Fourteenth Line and Fifteenth Line.
Investigation revealed that both vehicles were travelling north bound on Bloomfield Road when vehicle one rear ended vehicle two causing vehicle two to leave the roadway and enter the ditch.
Both occupants were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of vehicle one, a 36-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with Careless Driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
Man arrested for Breach of Probation CK23052206
On Thursday October 4th, 2023, at approximately 5:29p.m., police responded to the address of 55 McNaughton Avenue, Wallaceburg, also known as Circle K, in response to an unwanted male.
Prior to arrival, police were advised by store employees a male known to them that was on conditions not to be in the store was presently in the store.
Through investigation police observed the male on camera entering the store and approaching the store employee at the cash register before leaving. Police also learned the male was previously released on conditions not to attend that business and was currently wanted for Theft Under $5000.00, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Fail to comply with Probation Order.
The 48-year-old Wallaceburg man was located and arrested for Theft Under $5000.00, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order. He was transported to CKPS headquarter where he has been held pending a bail hearing.
