Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 180 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Thirteen people were arrested and nine were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested for Uttering Threats CK24049117
At 7:53 a.m., police were waived down on Wellington Street West in Chatham for a threats investigation.
Officers learned a man, who was acting aggressively, threated the victim during a verbal altercation.
At 9:35 a.m., the man was located on King Street and William Street North and arrested.
The 33-year-old Chatham-Kent man was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of November 4, 2024. He has been charged with uttering threats.
Man Arrested for Outstanding Warrant CK24049163
At 12:30 p.m., while on general patrol, officers police located the man on McNaughton and Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg. The officer confirmed that that the 32-year-old Wallaceburg man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court, in relation to a breach of probation investigation.
The 32-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested for Break & Enter CK24049267
At 11:36 p.m., police located the man on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg. The officer confirmed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court and other investigations in Wallaceburg.
The 33-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He is currently facing the following charges: trespass at night, break and enter, theft, assault and two counts of failing to attend court.
