The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 154 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Five people were arrested, and three person was arrested on outstanding warrants.
Man arrested for Fail to Comply with Release Order CK23055527
On June 20th, 2023, and October 16th, 2023, the accused entered a Form 10 Release Order, both with conditions not to communicate with or be anywhere with or around the specified person.
On Tuesday October 24th, 2023, police located the accused with the specified person he was not to be with, contrary to his release conditions issued by Chatham-Kent Police Service and Windsor Police Service.
The 27-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested for two counts of fail to comply with release order and transported to police headquarters where he was lodged pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested after Weapon Complaint CK23055606
On Tuesday October 25, 2023, at approximately 7:00 p.m., police responded to the area of Wellington Street Chatham, in response to a weapons complaint. A pedestrian believed they observed the suspect with a suspected firearm.
Police responded quickly and one person was arrested. The suspect was identified as a 41-year-old Chatham man was arrested for one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
There was not an immediate threat to public safety and the situation has been resolved without incident. There are no public safety concerns following the resolution of this occurrence.
Disturbance call leads to Arrest CK2305632
Yesterday evening at approximately 11:00 p.m., police responded to the area of Thames Street and King Street in the city of Chatham regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival police located the parties involved, through investigation police learned one male was currently wanted for failing to attend court.
The 19-year-old Chatham man was arrested and later released with a future court date.
