The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 210 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Eight people were arrested. Six of the eight people were arrested on outstanding warrants.
Woman Charged with Assault CK23023894
Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Tilbury.
Through investigation, police learned that the woman assaulted her husband during a verbal argument.
The 38-year-old Tilbury woman was arrested and charged with assault. She was released pending a future court date of June 12, 2023.
Man Charged with Criminal Harassment CK23023955
Yesterday afternoon, police received information regarding a domestic related incident.
Through investigation, police learned that the man was tracking his ex-wife with a device that was secretly affixed to her vehicle.
Early this morning, the man attended police headquarters and turned himself in. The 33-year-old Walpole Island man has been charged with criminal harassment. He remains in police custody.
Stolen Bicycle in Wallaceburg CK23023879
Sometime between Monday night at 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday morning at 7:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a garage on Murray Street. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a woman’s purple Supercycle cruiser style bicycle.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK23023904
Yesterday afternoon around 1:00 p.m. an unknown suspect entered a garage on Colborne Street and stole:
- Black and Decker Chainsaw x2
- Black and Decker Sawzall x2
- Gas Can x2
Total value of the theft was estimated at $1,250.
The suspect was described as:
- Male
- Approximately 5’6” in height
- Long curly blonde hair
- Last seen wearing a green pullover sweater, jeans black toque
