Man Arrested for Intimate Partner Violence CK23032521
On June 26, 2023, at 8:19 a.m., police entered a breach of a release order investigation.
Police learned the man was released in October 2022 with a condition not to attend an address on Homestead Drive in Tilbury.
Police learned the man was living at the address, and he was arrested.
The 34-year-old Chatham-Kent man was charged with failing to comply with a release order. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested for Impaired Driving CK23032645
At 7:21 p.m., emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Water Street in Wallaceburg.
Through investigation, the officer believed that the man was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and was arrested. The man was transported to police headquarters for breath tests.
The 23-year-old Port Lambton man was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was released with conditions and a future court date of July 17, 2023.
Man Arrested for Drug Possession CK23032680
At 11:13 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Victoria Avenue in Chatham. The vehicle stopped and did not have a valid license plate.
Through investigation, police confirmed the man was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle, and the vehicle was stolen. The man refused the exit the vehicle and struggled with the police as he was being arrested. Officers gained control of the man and took him into custody.
Upon a search incident to arrest, suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl were found in the man’s possession.
The vehicle was towed and placed under a 45-day hold.
The 40-year-old Chatham man was charged with driving while prohibited, resisting arrest, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property over $5000 and two counts of possessing a controlled substance. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
