Man Arrested for Intimate Partner Violence CK23031127
At 5:47 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Park Street in Dresden.
Police arrived on the scene and located a large group of people yelling. Through investigation, police learned the man and the woman were in an altercation witnessed by bystanders. The bystanders attempted to intervene and were also assaulted by the man. The woman was transported to the hospital by EMS for medical attention.
The 21-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, uttering threats and six counts of assault. The man was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of July 24, 2023.
Man Arrested for Bail Violation CK23031190
At 9:15 p.m., police responded to Greenfield Lane in Chatham for a theft investigation.
Police learned an e-bike had been stolen between June 16 and June 18, 2023. The bike was also believed to have been seen at an address on Victoria Avenue in Chatham. Through investigation, police formed grounds to arrest the man for theft. Police also learned that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with a release order.
The 39-year-old Chatham man was charged with theft, possessing stolen property and failing to comply with a release order. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of July 24, 2023.
Man Arrested for Theft CK23031201
On June 20, 2023, at 1:45 a.m., police responded to a theft investigation at an address on King Street West in Chatham.
Police arrived on the scene and learned a man, who had been escorted from the business earlier in the evening, had returned. Once inside, the man removed a needle disposal container from the wall and left the building.
Police located the man nearby and arrested him.
The 32-year-old Chatham-Kent man was charged with theft and possessing stolen property. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of July 24, 2023.
