Man Arrested for Assault CK23039547
At 3:36 p.m., the man attempted to cross the Blue Water Bridge Canada/ USA Border crossing but was arrested by the Canadian Border Service Agency. Officers confirmed he was wanted by the Chatham-Kent Police Service in relation to an assault investigation and failing to attend court.
The 40-year-old Walpole Island man was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

At 7:48 p.m., police responded to Muirkirk Line in Muirkirk for an assault investigation.
Through investigation, police learned that an argument between two men escalated when one assaulted the other.
The 49-year-old Muirkirk man was charged with assault. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of September 11, 2023.
Woman Arrested for Bail Violations CK23039635
On July 31, 2023, at 1:33 a.m., police responded to the CM Wilson Conservation area for a disturbance.
Upon arrival, police located the woman and confirmed she was wanted on a warrant for failing to comply with a release order.
The 26-year-old Blenheim woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters. She was held pending a bail hearing.
Woman Charged with Stunt Driving CK23039628
On July 31, 2023, at 12:29 a.m., while on general patrol, officers observed a vehicle driving at an exceedingly high rate of speed on Merlin Road in Raleigh Township.
The officers confirmed the vehicle’s speed at an alarming 175 km/hour, significantly surpassing the posted speed limit of 80 km/hour. Subsequently, the officers conducted a traffic stop to address this severe violation of road safety.
The 30-year-old Tilbury East woman was charged with stunt driving. She was issued a Part 3 Summons with a future court date, and the vehicle was towed.
