Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 175 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested, and one was on an outstanding warrant.
Man Arrested for Bail Violations CK24032395
At 11:45 a.m., the Niagara Regional Police Service contacted the Chatham-Kent Police Service advising the man, wanted on a CKPS warrant, was in their custody.
The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court in relation to several investigations.
The 50-year-old St. Catherines man was transported back to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He is currently facing the following charges: sexual assault, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property, two counts of failing to attend court, and four counts of failing to comply with a release order.

At 5:39 p.m., police responded to a family dispute on Sixteenth Line in Raleigh Township.
Officers learned the man and his mother engaged in a verbal argument that escalated when the man made comments to harm his mother and proceeded to assault her.
The 28-year-old Blenheim man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was released with conditions and a future court date of August 12, 2024. He has been charged with assault and uttering threats.
Woman Arrested for Impaired Driving CK24032505
At 9:14 p.m., police responded to a traffic complaint on Longwood Road in Chatham Township. Information was received the vehicle was driving erratically and was in a near miss collision.
Officers located the vehicle on the side of the road with its 4-way flashers activated, west of Lindsay Road. The officer believed the woman driving to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested her. She was transported to police headquarters for breath tests.
The 53-year-old Windsor woman was charged with impaired driving and having a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit. She was released with conditions and a future court date of July 22,2024. Her vehicle was impounded for 7 days, and her license was suspended for 90 days.
Man Arrested for Break-and-Enter CK24032509
At 9:43 p.m., the man attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned himself in to the police.
The man was wanted for a July 10, 2024, break-and-enter investigation that occurred at a Queen Street South business in Tilbury. During the incident a door was damaged, and a chair was stolen.
The 49-year-old Belle River man was arrested and released with conditions and a future court date of August 12, 2024. He was charged with break-and-enter and possession of stolen property. The chair was returned.
