The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 186 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Ten people were arrested, and six were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested for Uttering Threats and Fail to Comply CK23045437
Last night at approximately 3:10 p.m., police received a call of a male party attending his father’s residence and became unwanted. Police learned the male threatened his father during a verbal argument before leaving.
Upon locating the accused, police learned the accused was also at a residence with a female party that he was previously release on conditions not to communicate with or attend her residence.
The 40 year old Blenheim was arrested for one count of Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily harm and two counts of Failing to Comply with Release Order. The accused was taken into police custody and transported to headquarters where he has been held for bail.
Subsequently, the 39-year-old Blenheim female was arrested for Facilitating Breach of Undertaking, she was then transported to CKPS headquarters and later released with a court date of October 16th, 2023.
Female Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK23045424
In July 2023, police arrested the female in relation to Theft and Possession. The female was released with conditions and a future court date. When the female failed to attend the scheduled court date, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Yesterday, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the accused was located on Grand Ave West in the city of Chatham and arrested.
The 31-year-old Chatham female was arrested for Failing to Attend Court, she was then transported to CKPS headquarters and remanded to custody.
Man Arrested for Failing to Comply with Undertaking CK23045441
In July 2023, police arrested the accused in relation to Aggravated Assault. The male was released with conditions not to associate with specific parties amongst other conditions and a future court date.
On August 28th, police received information that the male was not abiding by these conditions and contacted a party by way of text message which he was not to be communicating with. Through investigation, police confirmed this information to be accurate.
On August 29th at approximately 12:24 p.m., police received information the male currently wanted by police was walking on James Street in the city of Wallaceburg.
Police arrived in the area and located the man. Officers confirmed the man was wanted on outstanding warrants for failing to comply with a previous release order.
The 19-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and transported to police headquarters and remanded to custody.
