Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant – CK23020483
Yesterday afternoon police responded to a suspicious persons complaint at a business on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg. Police attended and located a male that was known to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Possession Under $5000. The 28-year old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and later released with a future court date.
Male Arrested on Domestic Charges – CK23020501
Last night police responded to a disturbance in the area of Murray Street and Princess Street in Chatham involving a male and female. Police attended the location and observed the male in possession of a large knife. Through investigation it was also determined that the male involved had assaulted the female. The 27-year old male was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Assault, Weapons Dangerous and Resisting Arrest. The male was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held pending a bail hearing.

Last night police responded to a disturbance at a residence on Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg involving an intoxicated female. Police attended and it was determined that the female involved was highly intoxicated and unable to care for herself. The 19-year old female was arrested, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and is to be released when sober.
Male Arrested for Impaired Operation – CK23020558
Early this morning an officer on general patrol in Chatham observed 2 motor vehicles in the area of McNaughton Avenue racing. A traffic stop was conducted by the officer. Through investigation the officer believed the male driving was driving while impaired by alcohol. The male was arrested and transported to the OPP Chatham Detachment for breath tests. The 22-year old male of Chatham was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit and held pending a bail hearing.

Early this morning police responded to a noise complaint at a residence on Pine Street in Chatham. The male involved was observed by police to be highly intoxicated. The male left his residence and was found to be unable to care for himself. The 66-year old male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and is to be held until sober.

Early this morning an officer on general patrol in Chatham conducted a routine traffic stop on an observed vehicle in the area of St. Clair Street. Through investigation the officer believed the male driving was driving while impaired by alcohol. The male was arrested and transported to the OPP Chatham Detachment for breath tests. The 27-year old male of Chatham was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit and was later released with a future court date of May 15, 2023.

Early this morning police received numerous calls from a male who was observed to be highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself. Police attended the residence on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg and the 63-year old male was arrested, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and is to be held until sober.
Male Arrested on Domestic Charges – CK23020573
Early this morning police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on John Street in Chatham. Through investigation it was found that the male had assaulted the female. The 59-year old male was arrested for Assault and Uttering Threats, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and later released with a future court date of May 29, 2023.
