Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 171 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Six people were arrested and three people on outstanding warrants.
Break and Enter – CK24018556
Yesterday morning police responded to a break and enter at a business on Irwin Street in Chatham. Sometime overnight unknown persons entered the building and caused damage to plumbing and took several power tools from inside. There are currently no suspects and the investigation is ongoing.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant – CK24018669
Last night an officer attended a residence on Mountford Crescent in Blenheim and located a male known to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for fail to attend. The 38-year old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and later released with a future court date.
Liquor Licence Act – CK24018671
Last night an officer on general patrol in Chatham located a male in the area of Gilmore Avenue who was found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The 55-year old male was arrested, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and is to be held until sober.
Male Arrested for Domestic Assault – CK24018694
Early this morning police responded to a residence on Michener Road in Chatham for a domestic dispute. Through investigation it was determined that a male at the residence had assaulted a female. The 22-year old male was arrested for assault, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and later released with a future court date of June 3, 2024.
