Man Arrested for Intimate Partner Violence CK23018792
At 4:05 p.m., police responded to Edgar Street in Chatham for an intimate partner violence investigation.
Police learned the man and the woman engaged in several arguments recently, resulting in the woman being assaulted and threatened.
At 8:45 p.m., police located the man and arrested him.
The 40-year-old Chatham man was charged with uttering threats to cause harm, forcible confinement and two counts of assault. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of May 15, 2023.
Man Arrested for Intimate Partner Violence CK23018807
At 11:40 p.m., police responded to a domestic disturbance on Victoria Avenue in Ridgetown.
Through investigation, police learned the man and the woman engaged in a verbal altercation in a vehicle in the home’s driveway. The man was captured on surveillance video grabbing and striking the woman.
The 33-year-old Toronto man was arrested and charged with assault. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of May 1, 2023.

On April 19, 2033, at 1:31 a.m., police responded to James Street in Wallaceburg for a domestic disturbance.
While on route, police met the man walking away from the residence, and he was detained. Police learned the man was intoxicated and verbally argued with the woman. The altercation escalated when the man grabbed and pulled the woman, causing her to fall to the floor. The man gestured he would assault the woman, which caused their teenage son to intervene.
The 44-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with assault. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of May 15, 2023.
Man and Woman Arrested For Failing to Comply CK23018834
On April 19, 2023, at 4:38 a.m., police conducted a traffic on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.
Police learned the male driver was suspended from driving and bound by conditions of three undertakings not to communicate with the female passenger.
The 47-year-old Strathroy man was arrested and charged three counts of failing to comply with an undertaking. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
The 48-year-old Strathroy woman was arrested and charged with three counts of facilitating a breach. She was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date.
