Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK23017773
At 3:12 p.m., Police located the man on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Police confirmed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. The man was initially charged on October 9, 2022, with obstructing the Police, possessing stolen property, and four offences under the Highway Traffic Act and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
The 51-year-old Sarnia man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was released with conditions and a future court date of May 15, 2023.
Woman Arrested for Theft CK23017833
On March 31, 2023, Police responded to a business on King Street East in Chatham for a theft investigation.
Through surveillance video, a woman was observed removing an item from the shelf, concealing it on her person and leaving without paying for it. The woman was identified, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
On April 13, 2023, at 7:22 p.m., the woman was located on Colborne Street in Chatham and arrested.
The 38-year-old Chatham woman was charged with theft and possessing stolen property. She was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of May 15, 2023.
Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK23017855
At 9:08 p.m., while conducting traffic enforcement on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg, Police located the man and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The man was wanted for failing to attend court after being charged with breaching the conditions of a probation order.
The 34-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and released with a new court date of May 8, 2023.
Man Arrested for Obstructing the Police CK23017866/CK23017879
At 10:56 p.m., while on general patrol, Police located the man on Eight Street in Chatham.
Police confirmed the man was wanted for an incident earlier in the day and an outstanding warrant held by London Police Service.
The 30-year-old Chatham man was charged with obstructing a police officer, theft and possessing stolen property. He was transported to police headquarters and released to the London Police Service with conditions and a future court date of May 15, 2023.
Man Arrested for Impaired Driving CK23017877
On April 14, 2023, at 1:18 a.m., Police conducted a traffic stop on Fifth Street in Chatham.
Upon speaking with the driver, the officer believed them to be under the influence of alcohol. After administering a roadside breath test, the driver was arrested and transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
The 26-year-old Chatham man was charged with having a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit. He was released with conditions and a future court date of April 25, 2023.
