Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 177 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested on a DNA Warrant CK24021313
At 1:53 p.m., police were advised the Canadian Pacific Railway Police had the man in custody on Colborne Street in Chatham. The man was wanted on an outstanding DNA warrant.
The 48-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released.
Woman Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24021314
At 2:00 p.m. police responded to a disturbance on Thames Street in Chatham.
Upon arrival, officers located the woman and confirmed she was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court, in relation to theft investigations.
The 33-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she was held pending a bail hearing. She is currently facing the following charges: failing to attend court, two counts of theft, two counts of possession of stolen property and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Man Arrested for Probation Violation CK24021341
At 4:45 p.m., police began investigating a probation violation in Blenheim. Police received information the man attended an address he was prohibited from attending outlined in a probation order.
An officer attended the area, located the man a short distance away and confirmed he was also wanted on a surety relief warrant.
The 31-year-old Windsor man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He is currently facing the following charges: possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, two counts of uttering threats, and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.
