Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 224 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Twelve people were arrested and five were on outstanding warrants.
Officers arrested several people on warrants with two being held for bail.
Man charged with Mischief and breach of probation CK24048375
At 11:00 pm, a window was broken at 200 Westcourt Blvd. in Wallaceburg. A 32 year old Walpole Island man was located and found to be breaching a condition of his probation. The man was charged with Mischief and Breach of Probation and released with a future court date of November 4th, 2024.
Man and woman charged with assault CK24048422
At 3:30 am, the police attended an address on Merritt Line in Chatham. A 57 year old Chatham man and a 50 year old Chatham woman were present at this address. Through investigation, it was found that both the man and woman had assaulted each other. Both parties were arrested and charged with assault and released with a future court date of November 4th, 2024.
Man arrested for Impaired during off road driving CK24048429
At 4:30 am, police received a traffic complaint regarding a truck in the field around Gregory Drive/Orangewood Blvd in Chatham. Police attended and found the 22-year-old man who had been driving the truck. The man was arrested and taken to Chatham-Kent Headquarters where he registered 2 ½ times the legal limit of alcohol in his system. The man was charged with Operation While Impaired, Over 80 and Mischief. The man was released with a future court date of October 21st, 2024.
Man arrested during family disturbance CK24048437
The Chatham-Kent Police were contacted for a disturbance at an address on Patteson Ave in Chatham. A 44-year-old Chatham man was asked the leave the home. The man became upset before he assaulted a second person and several police officers. The 44-year-old man was charged with Assault, Assault Police x3 and Resist Arrest. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Headquarters and held for bail.
