The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences:

• 4 arrest was made throughout the day, including individuals wanted for outstanding warrants, failure to comply, and domestic-related offenses.
Key Incidents:
Warrants – Case# CK25014733
Date: March 13, 2025, Time: 0905 hrs. Location: Llewellyn Street, Chatham
Details:
- On March 13, 2025, at approximately 0905 hrs., a 55-year-old male from Chatham, was arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service for an outstanding endorsed warrant for failing to comply with his release order. Additionally, the accused also had an outstanding warrant with the London Police Service.
- In a prior incident (CK24067465/CK24067494), upon investigation, a GPS bracelet which was used to monitor the accused, was removed. The accused was arrested based on the removal of his monitor, putting him in breach of his release conditions. He was remanded into custody and transported to SWDC until his next court appearance scheduled for March 20, 2025, by video.
Warrants – Case# CK25014747
Date: March 13, 2025, Time: 0905 hrs. Location: Grand Avenue West, Chatham
Details:
- On March 12, 2025, at approximately 07:41 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a family dispute where a 39-year-old male from Ridgetown assaulted a 63-year-old male victim from Chatham by shoving him. No injuries were reported. The accused also caused damage to the victim’s vehicle by smashing its windows with a hammer.
- Subsequently, on March 13, 2025, at approximately 10:04 hrs., the accused was arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service based on reasonable probably grounds.
- He was charged with one count of assault and one count of Mischief Under $5000. The individual was released with a future court date of March 20, 2025.
Bail Violations – Case# CK25014801
Date: March 13, 2025, Time: 1512 hrs., Location: Grand Avenue West, Chatham
Details:
- On March 13, 2025, at approximately 1512 hrs., a 30-year-old male from Chatham-Kent was located and arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service at a local retail business in Chatham. He was arrested for failing to comply with his probation order.
- In a prior incident (CK25014580) the accused was charged with uttering threats to cause death and mischief to property. He was released with a probation order that included conditions, one of which prohibited him from being within 10 metres of the location of the business.
- Due to the breaching of his probation order, he was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where he is currently held for bail.
