The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences:
Spotlight

Arrests:
• 8 arrests were made throughout the day, including individuals wanted for outstanding warrants, failure to comply, and domestic-related offenses.
Break and Enter – Case# CK25009195
Date: February 13, 2025, Time:0558 hrs., Location: Raleigh Township
Details:
• On February 13, 2025, at approximately 0558 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a break and enter which was in progress. A 37-year-old male and a 32-year-old female from Wheatley along with a 42-year-old male from Leamington entered a fenced compound with the intention of committing an indictable offence. They were located and arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service. The accused were charged with one count of breaking and entering and one count of possession of property under $5000. Subsequently, the 37-year-old male who was identified in a previous occurrence for theft (CK25008992) and is currently being held for bail. The 32-year-old female and the 42-year-old male were both released with a future court date of March 17, 2025.
Warrants – Case# CK25009270
Date: February 13, 2025, Time: 1435 hrs., Location: Third Street, Chatham
Details:
• On February 13, 2025, at approximately 1435 hrs., a 26-year-old male from Chatham surrendered himself at the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters for a warrant related to an Intimate Partner Violence investigation (CK25009159) where he was charged for assault, utter threats and assault to cause bodily harm. The accused is currently being held for a bail hearing.

Date: February 13, 2025, Time: 19:50 hrs., Location: Wallace Street, Wallaceburg
Details:
• On February 13, 2025, at approximately 19:50 hrs., a 31-year-old female from Chatham-Kent who is the subject of an endorsed arrest warrant for theft under $5000 was located and arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service. She was released with a future court date of March 17, 2025.
Warrants / Resist Arrest – Case# CK25009363
Date: February 13, 2025, Time: 00:27 hrs., Location: Queen Street North, Tilbury
Details:
• On February 13, 2025, at approximately 00:27 hrs., a 53-year-old male from Tilbury who is the subject of an endorsed arrest warrant for careless use of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm was located by the Chatham-Kent Police Service. During the attempt to arrest the accused, he failed to comply with commands and assaulted the officer involved in his reprimanding, of which, the officer was unharmed. The accused was charged with one count of assaulting a peace officer with intent to resist arrest and, one count of resisting a peace officer, along with his outstanding warrants for arrest. He was taken into custody and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police headquarters, where he is currently held for bail.
