Man Arrested for Conditional Sentence Order Violation CK24009814
At 8:50 a.m., the man attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned himself into the police.
The 64-year-old Zone Township man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for breaching a Conditional Sentence Order. He was arrested and held pending a bail hearing.
Woman Arrested for Assault CK24009834
On February 28, 2024, at 9:49 p.m., police responded to an assault investigation on Longwoods Road in Chatham Township.
Through investigation officer formed grounds to charge the woman. A warrant was issued for her arrest when she was not located.
On March 4, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., the 21-year-old Chatham Township woman attended the Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned herself into the police. She was charged with assault, assault with a weapon, mischief, and three counts of failing to comply with a release order. She was held pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested for Bail Violations CK24009837
At 10:45 a.m., police investigated suspicious activity on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.
Officers located the man on arrival and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The 32-year-old Walpole Island man was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was released with conditions and a future court date of April 15, 2024. He is currently facing the following charges: unlawfully in a dwelling and eight counts of failing to comply with a release order.
Man Arrested for Uttering Threats CK24009852
At 8:12 a.m., police began a threats investigation in Tilbury.
Through investigation, officers learned the man had sent text messages and Facebook messages to the victim threatening to harm them.
The man was located on Fort Street and arrested.
The 46-year-old Chatham man was charged with uttering threats. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Woman and Man Arrested During Motor Vehicle Collision Investigation CK24009861/CK24009866
At 12:41 p.m., police responded to Keil Drive and McNaughton Avenue in Chatham for a motor vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, officers believed the woman driving was impaired by an intoxicating substance. She was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
As the woman was lodged in the backseat of a cruiser, the man attempted to assist the woman in escaping. He was also arrested.
The 49-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was charged with obstructing a peace officer and impaired driving by drugs. She was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of April 18, 2024.
The 39-year-old Chatham man was charged with obstructing a peace officer. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of April 15, 2024.
Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24009915
At 7:01 p.m., police responded to Selkirk Street in Chatham to check on the well-being of the man who appeared to be struggling.
Officers located the man and learned he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
The 43-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was held pending a bail hearing. He currently faces the following charges: assault with a weapon and failing to attend court.
Man Arrested for Weapons Offences CK24009929
At 8:38 p.m., police observed the man exiting a convenience store on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg. The officer recognized the man from previous encounters and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Upon a search incident to arrest, the man was found wearing a Kevlar bullet proof vest and in possession of a realistic airsoft gun resembling a Glock 17 handgun.
The 45-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing. He currently faces the following charges: failing to comply with an undertaking, failing to attend court, possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm with ammunition, careless storage of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, three counts of breach of recognizance, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Woman Arrested for Mischief CK24009952
At 10:57 p.m., police responded to Vanier Drive in Tilbury for a disturbance.
Through investigation, officers learned the man and woman argued and the woman left the residence. The woman later gained entry to the home via a second-floor window. After being removed from the home, the woman caused damage to the exterior of the home and items on the front porch.
Officers located the woman on the back porch and arrested her.
The 45-year-old Chatham woman was charged with unlawfully in a dwelling and mischief. She was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of April 22, 2024.
