Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 141 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested and four were on outstanding warrants.
Woman Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24007869
At 9:21 a.m., the woman attended the Ontario Court of Justice on Grand Avenue West in Chatham. Officers confirmed the woman was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
The 24-year-old Walpole Island woman currently faces the following charges: assaulting a police officer and resist arrest. She was released with a future court date.
Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK24007920
At 2:21 p.m., the woman was arrested at police headquarters in relation to a February 10, 2024, investigation.
On February 10, 2024, officers responded to a dispute on Queen Street in Wallaceburg. Through investigation officers learned the woman permitted a man to attend her home and socialize with him, knowing the man was bound by conditions of a release order prohibiting him from communicating and associating with her.
The 30-year-old Wallaceburg woman was charged with three counts of failing to comply with a release order. She was released with conditions and a future court date of April 8, 2024.
Man Arrested for Fraud CK24007926
At 3:30 p.m., police attended Mary Street in Chatham and located the man.
The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. There were also grounds to arrest him in connection to a January 2, 2024, fraud investigation.
The 36-year-old Chatham man currently faces the following charges: theft, fraud, using forged documents, two counts of failing to comply with an appearance order and two counts of possession of stolen property. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested for Bail Violations CK24007933
At 4:20 p.m., police located the man on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg. Officers confirmed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for an October 14, 2024, bail violation investigation.
The 43-year-old Wallaceburg man currently faces the following charges: assault, assault with a weapon, mischief, uttering threats and failing to comply with an undertaking. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested for Break and Enter CK24007954/CK24007956
At 6:46 p.m., officers were alerted by a witness of a man puncturing cruiser tires at the Chatham-Kent Police Station on Talbot Street, in Blenheim. Officers confirmed four tires of a cruiser had been damaged.
At. 6:53 p.m., police responded to an alarm at the LCBO on Marlborough Street South in Blenheim.
Video surveillance assisted officers in identifying the man.
At 7:25 p.m., police located and arrested the man.
The 43-year-old Blenheim man was charged with mischief, break and enter and theft. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
