Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 151 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Six people were arrested, and three were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested for Uttering Threats CK240000544/CK23061187
At 12:34 p.m., police attended Grand Avenue West in Chatham and arrested a man on an outstanding warrant related to a November 2023 assault investigation.
The 67-year-old Chatham man was charged with uttering threats, assault with intent to resist arrest, assaulting a police officer and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of February 5, 2024.
Woman Arrested for Release Violations CK24000553
At 1:08 p.m., police received information on the location of the woman, who was wanted for breaching her Conditional Sentence Order.
Officers attended an address on Grand Avenue West in Chatham and located the woman. She was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
The 46-year-old Thamesville woman was held pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested for Intimate Partner Violence CK24000584
At 4:45 p.m., police responded to Jane Street in Ridgetown for a bail violation investigation.
Upon arrival, officers learned the court released the man on December 14, 2022, with conditions prohibiting him from attending the Jane Street address. The man was found at the front door of the residence and arrested.
The 49-year-old Windsor man was charged with failing to comply with a release order. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested for Theft CK24000622
At 8:43 p.m., police attended a residential building on London Road in Thamesville for a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a man involved in the disturbance was wanted in a shoplifting investigation and wanted on an outstanding warrant held by the Ontario Provincial Police.
The 41-year-old Howard Township man was charged with theft and possession of stolen property. He was released to the Ontario Provincial Police with a future court date of March 3, 2024.
