Man arrested for Possession Over $5000, CK23054896
On October 20th at 9:00am, police located a stolen vehicle behind a Thamesville business on London Rd. This vehicle was reported stolen out of Chatham on October 17th. After further investigation, a 40 year old male from Moraviantown was arrested and charged with Possession Over $5000.00 and was released on a future court date.
Woman Arrested for Operation while Impaired by Drugs, CK23054921
On October 20th, shortly after 11:00am, police received a call about a possible impaired driver at a business on Grand Ave W. Police located the female sitting in her vehicle, exhibiting signs of being impaired by drugs. The woman was arrested and transported to CKPS HQ where a series of tests were administered by a Drug Recognition Expert, resulting in the 38 year old Chatham woman being charged with impaired by a narcotic. Her vehicle was impounded for 7 days and she was released from custody with a future court date.
Man arrested for Over 80, CK23055034
On October 21st at 1:30am, an officer observed a vehicle on King Street, Chatham, cross the centre line a couple of times. A traffic stop was conducted and the officer believed the driver was driving while under the influence of alcohol. The man was arrested and transported to police headquarters for breath tests. The 22 year old Chatham man was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was issued a 3 day licence suspension and was released from custody on a future court date.
