The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 236 calls for service in the last 24 hours. 10 people were arrested.
Break and Enter – CK23038257
Yesterday, officers attended a business on Grand Avenue in response to a call of a break and enter. Sometime overnight, unknown suspect(s) cut a hole in a fence and stole approximately $500 worth of copper wire.

Stolen Vehicle – CK23038315
CK23038315 – Stolen Vehicle – Yesterday, officers were called to the Lindsay Road area in response to a call of a stolen vehicle. Sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) stole an unplated 1999 Grey GMC Truck.

Traffic Enforcement – CK23038426
At approximately 10:30pm officers attended a restaurant on St. Clair Street in Chatham responding to a possible impaired driver in the drive through. The driver was located and a roadside breath test was administered. The 32-year-old Chatham woman was issued a 3 day licence suspension.
Fraud Warning
Police continue to receive reports of suspicious phone calls from people purporting to be from the CRA, legal or financial organizations. Scammers may use threatening language or an aggressive tone to scare you into making payments.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to remind everyone that personal or financial information should never be given over the phone, especially if you didn’t initiate the call. If you receive a suspicious email, please refrain from clicking any links, and delete the email immediately.
