Man Arrested for Threats CK23038070
At 8:28 a.m., police responded to McGuigan Avenue in Chatham for a family dispute.
Through investigation, police learned the man was arguing with his mother. The argument escalated when the man damaged the mother’s cell phone and commented about harming her. Police arrived and arrested the man.
The 41-year-old Chatham man was charged with mischief and two counts of uttering threats. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of August 14, 2023.
Man Arrested for Mischief CK23038115
At 1:24 p.m., police responded to a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham for a disturbance.
The man was observed inside a store he had been trespassed from and asked to leave by employees. As the man exited the store and walked through the parking lot, he struck vehicles randomly, causing damage. The man was located by police and arrested.
The 36-year-old Chatham-Kent man was charged with two counts of mischief. He was transported to police headquarter and held pending a bail hearing.
Woman Arrested for Impaired Driving CK23038159
At 4:44 p.m., police responded to an impaired driving investigation in Dresden.
Police learned the woman struck another vehicle while exiting an establishment on North Street. The owner of the second vehicle followed the woman to the parking lot of a nearby business, where he was able to retrieve the woman’s keys and contact the police.
Police arrived on the scene and believed the woman to be under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and transported to police headquarters for a breath test. Her vehicle was towed.
The 54-year-old Dresden woman was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. She was released with conditions and a future court date of August 14, 2023.

At 8:15 p.m., police responded to Harvey Street in Chatham for a threat’s investigation.
Police learned the man threatened to harm another man while speaking with his ex-girlfriend. The exchange was recorded. The man was later located and arrested.
The 33-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with uttering threats. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of August 21, 2023.
