For me, there’s no place like home.
Born and raised in Wallaceburg, I have fond memories of growing up in the community. That’s why after five-and-a-half years of policing in the City of Brantford, I returned home to Chatham-Kent. As a child, I remember hockey games at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena and playing with friends at the local parks. I also enjoyed exploring the local waterways, an experience that I hope to share with my husband and son this summer.
The citizens of Chatham-Kent were the biggest reason why I came back home. Having volunteered for a number of not-for-profit organizations over the years, like the Wallaceburg Advisory Team for a Cleaner Habitat and the Chatham-Kent Women’s Centre, I wanted to continue to give back to the community that helped mould me into the person I am today.
