Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 170 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Eleven people was arrested and eight were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24026829
At 9:11 a.m., the man attended Chatham Kent Police headquarters and turned himself in to the police.
The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court in relation to a 2023 break-and-enter and 2022 assault investigation, both in Chatham.
The 32-year-old Chatham man was held pending a bail hearing. He is currently facing the following charges: uttering threats, assault with a weapon, unlawfully in a dwelling house, failing to attend court.
Man Arrested for Bail Violations and Fraud CK24026843
At 10:50 a.m., police located the man on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg. Officers confirmed he was wanted on several warrants.
The 35-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He is currently facing the following charges: fraud, unauthorized use of a credit card, two counts of possession of stolen property and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
Man Arrested for Theft CK24026884
At 3:26 p.m., police responded to a retail business on St. Clair Street, near Pioneer Line, for a theft investigation.
The man was in the custody of Loss Prevention Personnel.
The 53-year-old Blenheim man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was released with conditions and a future court date of July 8, 2024. He is currently facing the following charges: theft and possession of stolen property.
Woman Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24026886
At 3:37 p.m., police responded to a business on St. Clair Street, near McNaughton Avenue West, in Chatham for a theft investigation.
Upon arrival, officers arrested the woman for shoplifting and confirmed she was also wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court in relation to another theft investigation.
The 42-year-old Chatham woman was transported to police headquarters, where she was held pending a bail hearing. She is currently facing the following charges: failing to attend court, two counts of theft and two counts of possession of stolen property.

At 5:04 p.m., police located the woman on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg and confirmed she was wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court in relation to bail violations.
The 33-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she was held pending a bail hearing. She is currently facing the following charges: failing to attend court, failing to comply with an undertaking, failing to comply with a release order, and two counts of possession of stolen property.

At 6:40 p.m., the man attended Chatham Kent Police headquarters and turned himself in to the police.
The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for bail violations.
The 22-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released with conditions and a future court date of July 15, 2024. He is currently facing the following charges: assault with a weapon, and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.

At 6:59 p.m., the man attended Chatham Kent Police headquarters and turned himself in to the police.
The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant in relation to a June 1, 2024, assault investigation in Chatham.
The 42-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released with conditions and a future court date of July 15, 2024. He is currently facing the following charges: assault with a weapon, unlawfully in a dwelling house, uttering threats and three counts of assault.
Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24026949
At 9:41 p.m., an officer on general patrol observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, in a community zone, southbound on Queen Street in Tilbury.
The officer conducted a traffic stop on Middle Line and arrested the driver for stunt driving. Officers confirmed the man was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court in relation to a September 2023 mischief investigation in Chatham.
The 20-year-old Comber man was arrested and released with a future court date of July 22, 2024. He is currently facing the following charges: mischief and stunt driving. He received a 30-day license suspension, and his vehicle was towed and impounded for 14 days.
Man Arrested for Assault CK24026950
At 10:02 p.m., police responded to Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg for a disturbance. Information was received a group of people were engaged in a physical altercation.
Officers arrived on the scene and located a man, intoxicated and belligerent. The man had visible physical injuries to his face. Police also located a woman with visible physical injuries to her body.
Through investigation, officers learned the man was consuming alcohol during the day and increasingly became combative with surrounding neighbours. At some point, the man assaulted the woman.
As officers attempted to arrest the man, he resisted the arrest and attempted to flee on foot. After a short foot pursuit, the man was taken into custody.
The 33-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to police headquarters and held until he was sober. He is currently facing the following charges: assault, resist arrest and escape lawful custody.
Man Arrested for Probation Violation CK24026957
At 11:05 p.m., police responded to Holden Street in Dresden for a disturbance.
Officer attended and located a man attempting to hide from officers. Officers learned the man was bound by a probation order with conditions not to associate with the individual living at the address and an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court in relation to a December 2023 theft investigation.
The 26-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released with a future court date of July 15, 2024. He is currently facing the following charges: failing to comply with a probation order.
