The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 115 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Eight people were arrested.
Weapons charges McNaughton Avenue West, Chatham CK24004161
At approximately 10:30pm on January 28, 2024, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a 911 call on McNaughton Ave West Chatham for shots being fired. Officers attended and determined an adult male party had discharged a firearm and then fled from the property. Through investigation officers located the suspect, he was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. The accused has been held in custody and scheduled to make a court appearance later this date speaking to multiple firearm related charges. No one was injured and this incident was isolated to the address.

A man was released on charges not to contact a specific person. The man attended a work place violating his release. The man threw coffee at staff members during a verbal confrontation. The man was arrested and held for a bail hearing. He was charged with Breaching a court order
Robbery Baldoon Chatham CK24004120
A man stole golf clubs from a local business. The suspect left the area and went to Baldoon Road Chatham. An elderly woman was in the parking lot and pushed to the ground. The man removed keys and left in the women’s car. The area was checked, and the vehicle was not located. This investigation is currently under investigation.
