The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 137 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested and two on outstanding warrants.
Break and Enter- CK24003925
On Saturday, January 27, 2024, at approximately 6:50 a.m., officers responded to an address on Queen Street, Tilbury for a break and enter at a business. Unknown suspect(s) forced entry through the front door causing $2000 in damage.. The investigation is ongoing.

Man Arrested for Outstanding Warrant- CK24003931
On Saturday, January 27,2024 at approximately 7:30 a.m. 37-year-old Chatham man attended Headquarters as he was aware of the outstanding warrant for his arrest as a result of a sexual assault investigation.
The man was arrested and held pending a bail hearing.
Woman Arrested for Outstanding Warrant- CK24003951
On Saturday, January 27, 2024, at approximately 11:35 a.m., a 30-year-old Wallaceburg woman was located in the area of Westcourt Blvd, Wallaceburg. The accused, known to police, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for Possession of Property over $5000.
The woman was given a court date and released.
Residential Break and Enter- CK24003975
On Saturday, January 27,2024, at approximately 8:50 a.m., an unknown suspect forced entry into a vacant residence in the area of Pine Street, Chatham. Removing a large duffle bag and backpack full of property. Keyholder unable to determine what property was taken. Estimated value of property taken is unknown.

Weapons – CK24004051
In the early morning of Sunday, January 28, 2024 at approximately 1:22 a.m., Police received two calls from two residents regarding gun shots in the area of New Scotland Line, Ridgetown. Officers attended the area and were unable to locate anyone, however, found several 12 Gauge shells and .308 casings.
At this time, it is believed that unknown suspect(s) were shooting at deer that were observed “yarding” a short distance from where the casings were located. Nothing of concern was located in the adjacent field or nearby bush. There is no danger to public safety.
