Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 168 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested.
Impaired/ 80 plus and Dangerous driving Bristol Drive, Chatham CK24016379
The Chatham-Kent Police were contacted for a motor vehicle collision on Bristol Drive where two vehicles were struck. A Third vehicle had struck a vehicle on the road and backed into another in a driveway. A 26 Year old Chatham man was located and found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to Chatham-Kent Headquarters where he was found to be 3 times the legal limit. Further investigation found that the man was driving on Kiel Drive and almost struck other vehicles head on. A 26 Year old Chatham man was charged with Operation while impaired/80 plus and dangerous driving and released with a future court date of April 29,2024. The man’s licence was suspended and his vehicle impounded.

Unknown suspects entered a shed and stole a large quantity of tools.

Assault cause bodily harm 24 Third Street Chatham Headquarters CK24016381
The Chatham-Kent Police had investigated an assault complaint on Lorne Ave Chatham on April 12/24. A 42 Year old man turned himself in at Chatham-Kent Headquarters. The man was charged with assault causing bodily harm and released on conditions and a future court date of May 27,2024.
