Shortly before 11:30pm, on July 13, 2024, The Chatham-Kent Police Service received a call for service regarding a male party that appeared to be in distress. Information given to police by the caller stated that a male party was bent over while standing and was not responding to requests to help prompting the caller to contact the Chatham-Kent Police Service for assistance.
General uniformed officers responded to the call for help locating the male party on Jane Street in Thamesville.Through investigation it was determined that the 41-year-old Thamesville male was the subject of a warrant for his arrest. Officers arrested the male party.
Upon search incident to arrest, several controlled substances, individually packaged, along with other items that are used for the sale and distribution of controlled substances, were located on his person.
As a result of this the male party was arrested for the warrants, as well as charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking-controlled substances. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.
