The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 170 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested, and three people were arrested on outstanding warrants.
Man arrested for Bail Violations CK23050604
Yesterday morning at approximately 8:50 a.m., police responded to the address 881 St Clair St, Chatham, commonly known as Walmart, in response to an unwanted male party.
Previously, on September 7th, 2023, the accused was arrested by police for Theft Under $5000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5000 at the same location. The accused was arrested and later released from police custody on a form 10 undertaking with conditions to not attend 881 St. Clair Street, Chatham.
Yesterday, on September 26th, 2023, the accused was observed by loss prevention staff inside Walmart, located at 881 St Clair Street, Chatham. Upon request, the accused left the store.
Upon police arrival, the accused was located, and the 41-year-old Chatham man was arrested for one count of Fail to Comply with Undertaking. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Man arrested for assault CK23050626
Yesterday at approximately 11:20 a.m., police responded to address on Massey Drive, in Tilbury is response to a family dispute.
Police learned; the accused became irate when his father told him to bring his dishes to be washed. The accused then threw his meal across the kitchen table and proceeded to push the victim, causing him to fall to the ground.
Upon police arrival, the accused was located, and the 43-year-old Tilbury man was arrested for one count of Assault. The accused was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions and future court date of November 6th, 2023.
Female arrested for Fail to Comply with Release Order CL23000481
Previously, on September 15th, 2023, the accused appeared before a Justice of the Peace and was granted bail and released with conditions to report to the bail Supervision Program.
On September 18th, 2023, the accused failed to attend her bail supervision appointment and failed to comply with her Recognizance of Bail Order.
On Wednesday September 27th at approximately 3:30 a.m., police observed the accused riding her bicycle in the city of Wallaceburg.
The 29-year-old Wallaceburg female was arrested for one count of Fail to Comply with Release Order and transported to police headquarters, where she was later release with a future court date of October 16th, 2023.
