Young Person Arrested after Weapon Complaint

On 2023-09-23 at 0846hrs the Chatham-Kent Police responded to an address in Chatham for a weapons complaint. A pedestrian observed a suspect outside of this address with a suspected firearm. The suspect proceeded inside this building and attended a second story window. The suspect was observed to be in possession of the firearm throughout the incident.
Police responded quickly and one person was arrested. The suspect was identified as a 15-year-old. They were arrested for breaching a weapons prohibition and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The accused person is a youth and their identifying information cannot be disclosed.
There was not an immediate threat to public safety and the situation has been resolved without incident. There are no public safety concerns following the resolution of this occurrence.
Man Arrested for Breaching Probation

On 2023-09-22 at 1224hrs the Chatham-Kent Police responded to a disturbance in Chatham. The suspect had attended a residence and proceeded to yell and bang on doors and windows of the residence. This carried on for a short time and the suspect fled.
The suspect was identified as a 28 year old Chatham man who is currently bound by six probation orders not to attend this address. The man was located a short distance away and arrested. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

On 2023-09-22 at 1500hrs a Chatham-Kent Police Officer located a wanted person while on general patrol in Ridgetown. The 25 year old Windsor man was wanted by the Chatham-Kent Police for Failing to Attend Court and Surety Relief.
Further the man was found to have two outstanding warrants pertaining to six criminal offences with the Lasalle Police Service. The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
