Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 193 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Eight people were arrested and five were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested for Criminal Harassment CK24044330
On September 5, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., police responded to Canal Street in Tilbury for an indecent act investigation.
Upon arrival officers learned the man was outside the victim’s residence engaged in an act of self-stimulation. Further investigation revealed a similar incident and unwanted contact has occurred recently.
On September 9, 2024, at 6:16 p.m. the man was located and arrested, following several attempts.
The 40-year-old Tilbury man was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing. He has been charged with failing to comply with a probation order, two counts of criminal harassment and two counts of indecent acts.
Man Arrested for Uttering Threats CK24044356
At 9:41 p.m., police responded to a business on St. Clair Street, near McNaughton Avenue, in Chatham for a disturbance.
Officers learned the man engaged in a verbal argument with employees where he threatened to harm them.
The 28-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was released with conditions and a future court date of October 21, 2024. He has been charged with uttering threats.
Motor Vehicle Collision on Croton Line CK24044367
On September 9, 2024, at 10:07 p.m., police responded to Croton Line, between Irish School Road and Tramway Road in Camden Township for a motor vehicle collision.
Officers arrived and found a motorcycle in the ditch on the southside of Croton Line, but the driver was not present. Through investigation officers learned the man was picked up and transported to the hospital by friends.
Further investigation revealed the 25-year-old Wallaceburg man sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a Windsor hospital for further medical care.

Man Arrested for Probation Violations CK24044410
On September 10, 2024, at 2:46 a.m., police observed a man run into the backyard of a residence on Margaret Avenue, near Murray Street in Wallaceburg.
The man attempting to evade the officers by jumping in the river and attempting to hide. The man was located and arrested for trespassing at night. Further investigation revealed the man was bound by several probation orders and a release order with conditions, which included not to possess any identification not in his name and a weapon prohibition. Upon a search incident to arrest the man was found with two knives, a wallet that was not his and several other items.
The 35-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He is currently facing the following charges: trespass at night, failing to comply with a release order and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
