Chatham-Kent, Ontario – The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 148 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested, and two were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK23057569
At 4:48 p.m., the man was located on Jeffery Street in Chatham. Officers confirmed an outstanding warrant for the man for failing to attend court concerning a March 20, 2023, impaired driving investigation. The man was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
The 22-year-old Chatham man currently faces the following charges: failing to attend court, failing to stop after a collision, operating a motor vehicle while impaired, having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit, and several Highway Traffic Act offences. He was held pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested for Assault CK23057590
At 6:42 p.m., police responded to a disturbance at the Circle K on Erie Street South in Ridgetown.
Upon arrival, police learned a disturbance occurred after a minor vehicle collision involving two individuals. One person remained on the scene. Offices conducted a comprehensive investigation resulting in an arrest.
The 51-year-old Charring Cross man was arrested for assault causing bodily harm. She was released with conditions and a future court date of December 4, 2023.
Man Arrested for Beaching A Probation Order CK23057618
At 9:16 p.m., police responded to suspicious activity at St. Joseph’s Church on Wellington Street West in Chatham.
Officers attended and located three people on the property. Officers discovered one man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for breaching a probation order. The other individuals left the property upon request.
The 29-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was released with conditions and a future court date of December 18, 2023
