Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 129 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested, and two were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested for Indecent Act CK23061024
At 6:17 a.m., police responded to an address on Tecumseh Road in Chatham.
Police learned that at approximately 6:15 a.m., an employee observed the man engaging in inappropriate sexual behaviour and smoking suspected methamphetamine.
Officers arrived on the scene and arrested the man.
The 49-year-old Chatham-Kent man was charged with an indecent act. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested for Breaching the Peace CK23061058
At 10:25 a.m., police responded to a home on Beech Street in Bothwell for a disturbance between the man and his father.
After receiving multiple calls to the residence, the man was arrested for breaching the peace.
The 33-year-old Howard Township man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was held temporarily and released unconditionally.
Woman Arrested for Theft RM23003878
On October 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., the woman entered the LCBO on Wellington Street in Chatham. She was recorded on surveillance video removing items from the shelves and exiting the store without paying. The woman was identified by police from previous interactions.
On November 27, 2023, at 11:06 a.m., police located and arrested the woman on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.
The 29-year-old Chatham woman was charged with theft and possession of stolen property. She was released with a future court date of December 19, 2023.
Youth Arrested for Assault CK23061100
On November 13, 2023, police responded to an address on Queens Line for an assault investigation.
The officer discovered that on November 8, 2023, the two male youths verbally argued in a parking lot at their school in Chatham. The victim disengaged and walked away, but the other youth followed and physically assaulted the victim.
On November 27, 2023, at 4:45 p.m., the 17-year-old Chatham youth was arrested and charged with assault. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of December 18, 2023.
