Man Arrested on Domestic Related Charges (CK23059501)
On November 17th, 2023, at approximately 9:31am, police responded to residence in Chatham regarding a domestic dispute. Through investigation, officers learned that a male had dumped a full bottle of pop on his girlfriend while she was driving, and subsequently assaulted her a second time once they arrived home by striking her with his hand. The male was consequently arrested by police for Assault with a Weapon and Assault. He was transported to police headquarters for processing and ultimately released on an Undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
Man Arrested for Luring Child (CK23059620)
On November 17th, 2023, at approximately 10:21pm, police received a complaint from a concerned parent after discovering disturbing messages on her child’s phone. In speaking with the parent, police determined that a 40-year-old man had been messaging the complainant’s 12-year-old daughter, attempting to solicit intimate images. Police were able to identify the man and subsequently arrested him for Luring a Person Under 14 Years of Age. The man was later released on an Undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrants (CK23059487)
On November 17th, 2023, at approximately 8:00am, police attended to an apartment complex in Chatham in response to an unwanted person complaint. Upon arrival, officers located the female suspect still on scene standing in front of the building. A query of the female revealed her to be wanted on the strength of several outstanding warrants for failing to attend court. She was subsequently arrested, transported to police headquarters, and released on an undertaking with a future court date.
