Man Arrested for Impaired Driving CK23059237
Yesterday evening at approximately 7:00 p.m., police responded to a possible impaired driving complaint on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Police located the vehicle in the area of School Street and Centre Street in Chatham and subsequently conducted a traffic stop. Officers believed the man driving was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The male was arrested and transported to police headquarters for breath tests.
The 42-year-old Chatham man was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was later released with conditions and a future court date of November 27, 2023. The vehicle was towed.
Two Men Arrested for Bail Violations CK23059280/CK23059282
On Thursday November 16th, at approximately 12:50 a.m., police responded to a call regarding two suspicious parties in the area Richmond Street and Bloomfield Road in Chatham.
Police arrived and located the parties; through investigation, police learned one of the two men was previously released on July 22nd, 2022, on a condition to be inside his residence between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
The 44-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with Judicial Release. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Police also learned the second man was previously released on a probation order on October 18th, 2022, on a condition to be inside his residence between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Additionally the male entered in a form 10 undertaking on June 30th, 2023, for failing to comply with his probation order curfew condition to be inside his residence between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
The 38-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with Probation order and fail to comply with Undertaking. The accused was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
