Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK23022486
Yesterday morning, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Chatham.
Through investigation, officers learned that the man was currently bound by conditions not to communicate with a woman at the residence.
The 20-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions. He was released pending a future court date of June 5, 2023.
Shoplifting leads to Arrest CK23022536
Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a shoplifting complaint at the Real Canadian Superstore on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Through investigation, officers learned that the man had also stolen items from Mark’s Work Warehouse.
The 52-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He was also arrested on outstanding warrants. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police Execute Search Warrant in Wallaceburg CK23022588
Last night, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section, with the assistance of the Critical Incident Response Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a residence in Wallaceburg.
Officers located and seized suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, MDMA and cocaine. A digital scale, debt list, cell phones, Canadian currency and black BB handgun were also seized.
A 43-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking and three counts of possession of a weapon contrary to an order. He was released pending a future court date of June 8, 2023.

A 38-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking and failing to comply with her release conditions. She was also arrested on an outstanding warrant. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
