The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 199 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Eight people were arrested.
Break and Enter – CK23010620
Yesterday morning police attended a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham for a break and enter complaint. Sometime early in the morning an unknown person smashed the drive thru window to gain entry into the business. Once inside a safe was located and taken from the business. The safe was later located near the business and unopened. The investigation is ongoing and there are currently no suspects.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant – CK23010372
Last night police attended a residence on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham and located a male at the residence who was known to be wanted on a Surety Relief Warrant. The 24-year old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held pending a bail hearing.
Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrant – CK23010766
Last night police attended a residence on Colborne Street in Chatham for a police assistance complaint. At the residence a female was located there who was known to be wanted on a warrant for theft and possession over $5000. The 52-year old female was arrested on the strength of the warrant, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held pending a bail hearing.
