On 2023-03-11 members of the Chatham-Kent Police were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision in Chatham Township. The driver was identified as a 32 year old Chatham man and was determined to be intoxicated by alcohol by responding officers. The accused was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he provided breath samples in excess of the legal limit. The accused was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 and released with a future court date.

On 2023-03-11 members of the Chatham-Kent Police responded to a vehicle being stuck on the rail tracks in Chatham. While driving on William St. S. in Chatham a 27 year old woman mistook the rail tracks for a road and turned onto them, becoming stuck. Police responded to remove the vehicle and determined the driver to be intoxicated by alcohol. She was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters to provide breath samples. The accused provided samples exceeding the legal limit. The accused was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 and released with a future court date.
