Man Arrested for Obstructing the Police CK23032715
At 7:24 a.m., police responded to Bedford Street for an unwanted person.
Upon arrival, and located the man in the driveway. The man provided police with false identification. When his correct identity was confirmed, police learned he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. The man was arrested, and upon a search incident to arrest, he was found possessing suspected fentanyl.
The 40-year-old Chatham-Kent man was charged with obstructing the police and possessing a controlled substance. He was released with a future court date of July 27, 2023.
Man Arrested for Theft CK23032744
At 10:13 a.m., police responded to Poplar Street in Chatham for suspicious activity.
Police arrived on the scene and located the man. Police confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for a theft investigation.
The 25-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and charged with theft and possessing stolen property. He was released with a future court date.
Woman Arrested for Intimate Partner Violence CK23032755
At 10:50 a.m., police responded to Ferguson Street in Thamesville for a domestic dispute investigation.
Through investigation, police learned the couple had engaged in a verbal altercation the evening before, which escalated when one struck and made comments about harming the other.
The 41-year-old Windsor woman was arrested and charged with uttering threats and two counts of assault. She was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of July 31, 2023.
