Woman Arrested for Theft CK23031691
At 10:29 a.m., police responded to Grand Avenue West in Chatham for suspicious activity.
Police arrived on the scene and learned the woman was entering vehicles and removing items. The woman was confronted by a victim, who retrieved her property before she the area. She was located a short distance away from the police.
The 36-year-old Kent Bridge woman was arrested and charged with theft and possession of stolen property. She was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of July 24, 2023.
Man Arrested for Mischief CK23031762
At 3:33 p.m., police responded to St. George Street in Dresden for a mischief investigation.
Police learned the man was cutting straps from trees in Rotary Park without permission. After he was approached and told to stop, he ran after the victim with a box cutter.
The 49-year-old Dresden man was arrested and charged with mischief, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Two Men Arrested for Theft CK23031891
On June 23, 2023, at 2:52 a.m., police responded to Creekview Place in Chatham for suspicious activity. Police learned two men were checking vehicles in the area.
Police arrived in the area and quickly located the two men. Both were arrested and transported to police headquarters.
The 49-year-old Pain Court man and the 28-year-old Chatham man were charged with three counts of theft and three counts of possession of stolen property. They were released with conditions and a future court date of July 24, 2023.
