Man Arrested for Bail Violation CK24002146/CK24002149
At 10:06 a.m., the man attended the Criminal Court of Justice on Grand Avenue West in Chatham. Officers confirmed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court on a previous date. He was arrested and released with a new court date.
At 11:10 a.m., police attend a residential building on King Street East in Chatham to investigate a bail violation.
Upon arrival, officers located the man and confirmed he was bound by an undertaking with conditions prohibiting him from attending the address. The man was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
The 37-year-old Chatham man was arrested and held pending a bail hearing. He is facing the following charges: possession of stolen property, assault causing bodily harm, and two failing to comply with undertaking.
Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK24002174
On October 16, 2023, the woman was required to attend court in relation to several investigations. When she failed to appear, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
On January 15, 2024, at 2:20 p.m., the woman was located on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg. The warrants were confirmed, and the woman was arrested.
The 29-year-old Walpole Island woman was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing. She faces the following charges: uttering threats, robbery, theft, failing to comply with a release order, two counts of possession of stolen property, and four counts of failing to attend court.
Man Arrested on a Bench Warrant CK24002240
At 11:50 p.m. while conducting a well-being check on Faircourt Avenue in Chatham, officers located the man. Officers confirmed the man was wanted on a bench warrant for failing to attend court.
The 48-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released with a new court date. He faces the following charges: assault, assault with a weapon, mischief, theft, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
Man Arrested for Public Mischief CK24002267
On January 16, 2024, at 4:40 a.m., emergency crews responded to Grand Avenue West in Chatham for numerous medical emergency calls made by the man. Officers attended and found the claims were false.
The 39-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with public mischief. He was released with conditions and a future court date of February 12, 2024.
