Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24008808
On September 7, 2023, the man was arrested and charged with impaired driving, failing to comply with a probation order and possession of a controlled substance. He was released with conditions and an October 2023 court date. When the man failed to attend his scheduled court appearance a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On February 27, 2024, at 9:26 a.m., the 37-year-old Chatham man attended the Ontario Court of Justice on Grand Avenue West in Chatham and was arrested. He was released with a new court date and currently faces the following charges: failing to comply with a probation order.
Man Arrested for Uttering Threats CK24008818
At 10:00 a.m., police responded to Simcoe Lane in Chatham to check on the well-being of a man seen sleeping behind a business.
Officers located the man and learned he was wanted on an outstanding warrant from a November 2023 investigation. The man was arrested.
The 34-year-old Chatham-Kent man was charged with uttering threats and breach of probation. He was released with a future court date of March 25, 2024.
Man Arrested for Criminal Harassment CK24008858
On February 20, 2024, police began a criminal harassment investigation in Chatham.
The man had previously been cautioned by the police regarding his unwanted and vexatious behaviour towards the victim. Despite the warning, the man was repeatedly seen at the victim’s workplace.
After several unsuccessful attempts to locate him, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On February 27, 2024, at 1:40 p.m., the 54-year-old Chatham-Kent man attended police headquarters and turned himself into the police. He was arrested and charged with criminal harassment. He was released with conditions and a future court date of March 25, 2024.
