Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 175 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested, and three were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested for Probation Violation CK24008690
At 12:49 p.m., police located the man on Grand Avenue East in Chatham. The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant issued by Sarnia Police Service for failing to comply with a probation order.
The 31-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was released with conditions and future court date.
Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24008700
In May 2023 the man was arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failing to comply with a recognizance and impaired driving. He was released with a condition to attend the Ontario Criminal Court of Justice on June 2, 2023, for fingerprinting. When he failed to attend for this purpose, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On February 26, 2024, at 3:19 p.m., the man attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned himself into the police.
The 21-year-old Tilbury man was arrested and additionally charged with failing to attend for fingerprints. He was released with a future court date of April 3, 2024.
Man Arrested for Break and Enter CK24008745
At 7:40 p.m., The Windsor Police Service contacted the Chatham-Kent Police Service to advise the man, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, was in their custody.
The man was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
The 24-year-old Windsor man faces the following charges: break and enter and theft of a motor vehicle.
