The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 191 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested, and two were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK23008971
On February 13, 2023, a warrant was issued for the man’s arrest when it was learned he was not following the conditions of his probation order.
On February 22, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., police located the man on King Street East in Chatham.
The 51-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was charged with failing to comply with a probation order and released with conditions and a future court date of March 13, 2023.
Man Arrested for Threats CK23009058
At 4:52 p.m., police responded to Park Avenue East in Chatham for a domestic disturbance.
Through investigation, police learned the man and the woman engaged in a verbal argument resulting in the woman leaving the residence. The man contacted the woman later and threatened to harm her. The police also learned the man had threatened to cause damage to the woman’s vehicle and other personal property during other recent arguments.
The 29-year-old Chatham man was charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and three counts of uttering threats to cause property damage. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of March 27, 2023.
Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK23009136
Early this morning at 12:39 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Base Line in Zone Township.
Police learned the woman occupant was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
The 26-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters. She was released with conditions and a future court date of March 27, 2023.
