Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 138 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Nine people were arrested and three were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK24007774
At 11:57 a.m., while investigating another matter on Park Avenue West in Chatham, officers observed the man and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
A warrant was issued for the man’s arrested when he failed to make a scheduled court appearance related to several charges.
The 58-year-old man was transported to police headquarters. He currently faces the following charges: failing to attend court, failing to comply with a release order, assault, theft, possession, mischief, theft, possession of stolen property and two counts of break and enter. He was released with conditions and a future court date.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK24007798
At 4:19 p.m., police attended the Walpole Island Police Service station and arrested a man in their custody. The man was wanted for failing to attend court.
The 29-year-old Wallaceburg man currently faces the following charges: resist arrest, possession of stolen property and robbery. He was provided a new court date of March 18, 2024, and released.
Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK24007806
At 4:54 p.m., police located the woman on Montgomery Drive in Wallaceburg and confirmed she was wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court.
The 28-year-old Wallaceburg woman currently faces the following charges: impaired driving and driving without a license. She was released with a future court date of March 11, 2024.
Man Arrested for Public Intoxication CK24007841
At 11:23 p.m., police responded to Sheldon Avenue in Chatham for a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers located the man and found him to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself.
The 23-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was held until he was sober.
